| CleverForm is a pure web application. The user interface is provided through an IE browser and that is the only software required at the user's end. The application processing is performed by the server using open source components including the Linux operating system, Apache Web Server and a MySql database (optionally MS SQL Server or Sybase). |

To provide the user with maximum flexibility in setting up the logic upon which questions get presented to the participant, a proprietary, fully-documented scripting language has been implemented. The script enables the highest levels of sophistication, such as dynamic creation of questionnaire pages in accordance to participant's previous answers. Even the visual appearance of pages can be changed on the fly during the interview.

The entire visual appearance of the questionnaires is controlled through HTML templates. The user assigns a specific template to the project, but he can also separately assign different templates to individual questions.Although CleverForm by default supplies several popular templates, the users are encouraged to produce their own.

Every piece of feedback data (every answer) is stored individually with information on date/time, participant's unique id, questionnaire id, question id, etc. This concept enables separate analysis based on any combination of filtering criteria, data analysis across questionnaires and comprehensive building of the participant's profile. The CGI gateway enables data interchange with other Web services or existing databases or business logic.

CleverForm-based systems are configured, maintained and administered according to CERTŪ/CC System and Network Security Best Practices.
CERTŪ/CC is a (US) government-funded research and development center for providing technical advice and coordinating responses to security compromises, identifying trends in intruder activity, working with other security experts to identify solutions to security problems, and disseminating information to the broad community. CERTŪ/CC also analyzes product vulnerabilities, publishes technical documents, and presents training courses.
